The SU-1 compact desktop DAC (digital-to-analogue converter) seems small, but is really quite big on the inside. The affordably priced D/A converter supports MQA and MQA-CD formats and uses a 3rd generation XMOS XU-316 chip, which together with the AKM AK4493S DAC chip can achieve distortion of less than 0.00013%. It decodes PCM 32bit/768kHz and DSD512, and is compatible with Windows, Linux, Android, Mac OS and iOS via USB Type-C input. Built in a small aluminium alloy housing, the SU-1 is a truly impressive desktop audio device, despite its size.
