The SMSL DO400 is a fully balanced digital-to-analogue converter and headphone amplifier promising high dynamics, ultra-low distortion and impressive performance, plus a flagship ES9039MSPro DAC chip with 32bit 768kHz DSD512 resolution and MQA-CD decoding via an XMOS XU-316 USB interface chip. Bluetooth 5 wireless connectivity is provided by a QCC5125 chip supporting aptX, aptX HD and LDAC codecs.
The 4-pin XLR, 6.35mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs and up to 2x3000mW @ 32 Ohms power opens up the world of quality music listening to countless high-end headphones. In addition to single-ended RCA and balanced XLR outputs, there are also AES/EBU, I2S, COAX, optical, Bluetooth and USB-B inputs. The front panel's tempered glass protected colour IPS display is easy to read and can be switched off freely.
