The Denafrips mid-range digital-to-digital converter or digital interface (DDC) is the result of 3 years of research and development by the brand, which has developed extensive expertise in the design of DACs and related technologies.
This interface allows you to expand the digital connectivity of your audio system or computer while improving sound quality. In addition, Hermes works perfectly with a wide range of DAC brands and models available on the market. The data stream of the incoming USB digital signal is stored in the FIFO buffer and then rewound using the built-in femtosecond clock. This process significantly minimizes jitter and guarantees a signal free of digital noise. The Hermes 12 also features galvanic isolation, which protects the signal from electrical interference and maintains signal integrity throughout the conversion process.
The power supply stage of the Hermes 12Th has also been optimized to ensure that all circuits receive a clean, stable electrical signal. These include a large 80 VA UP-OCC copper O-Core transformer and precision LDO voltage regulators.
