For the headset to have 100% accuracy, the recording of the live performance must produce exactly the same sound on the eardrum as that of the original performance. To achieve this, it is necessary to take into account the acoustic properties of the ear. The acoustic resonance and horn effect of the ear map the audio signal (2700 Hz) coming into the open ear with high-frequency amplification in the same way as the sound heard in the eardrum during normal hearing.
