The EF1000DAC incorporates four units of the manufacturer's proprietary Hymalaya Pro ladder DAC (R2R digital-to-analogue converter) chip, (dual converters per channel) capable of driving any headphones and delivering unrivalled power and sound quality. As HIFIMAN's new top-of-the-range model, the EF1000DAC features a number of developments over the original EF1000 amplifier. The input stage uses the manufacturer's ultra-precise discrete op-amp and Quad Hymalaya's PRO DAC chips to achieve a total harmonic distortion of 0.0012%. The EF1000DAC is complemented by quadruple matched transistors in each channel for a fully symmetrical 13.7W output level. In addition, there is a fully balanced staged volume control and a 150W transformer with oxygen-free copper wires. The EF1000DAC features five input options: USB, optical, coaxial, and RCA. In addition, LDAC and Apt-X HD quality Bluetooth streaming are also possible. Outputs on the front panel include 4-pin XLR and 6.35mm, while the rear panel offers RCA single-ended and balanced XLR outputs.
