The SMSL DO300 digital-analog converter promises detailed and accurate sound reproduction with a flagship ES9039MSPro DAC chip, as well as 32bit 768kHz DSD512 resolution and MQA-CD decoding through an XMOS XU-316 USB interface chip. A QCC5125 chip is responsible for Bluetooth 5 wireless connectivity, supporting aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC codecs.
In addition to single-ended RCA and balanced XLR outputs, the device also features AES/EBU, I2S, COAX, optical, Bluetooth, and USB-B inputs. The colored IPS display protected by tempered glass on the front panel is easy to read and can be freely turned off.
The DO300 offers a more precise, neutral sound character compared to its sibling, the DO200 MKII, yet remains a versatile DAC with excellent performance. The product weighs 1200g. The package includes an RC-8C remote control, Bluetooth antenna, EU power cable, and USB-B cable.
