Desktop Hi-Fi MQA capable network music player
SMSL SD-9 is a versatile network player. In fact, it supports a wide range of file formats and has full connectivity. Wireless transfer can be done via Bluetooth or WiFi (DLNA / AirPlay).
Audio architecture
The SD-9 uses an architecture based on an ARM SoC and CPLD pair. The SoC takes care of decoding the data, while the CPLD handles the clock management of the audio signal. The clock signal is generated by two oscillators (22.5792 MHz and 24.576 MHz) to drastically reduce jitter and ensure very accurate audio reproduction.
MQA support
The SMSL SD-9 is capable of decoding and playing MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) files. These files allow you to achieve sound quality as close as possible to studio recording.
Wireless connection
The SD-9 offers both the benefits of wireless transmission via Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. It also supports DLNA and Apple AirPlay protocols for optimal compatibility with other devices.
HiBy Link compatible
The SD-9 can connect to the HiBy Link mobile app very easily. This application allows you to remotely manage music playback through a clever and intuitive graphical interface.
Full connection
The SMSL network player in particular is equipped with a complete connector to suit all needs and all audio systems. You'll find USB-B (USB Audio) in the input, two USB-A sockets for connecting storage devices, a slot for a Micro SD card and an Ethernet RJ45 socket for wired network connection. For its outputs, the SD-9 offers Toslink Optical, AES/EBU, coaxial and I2S LVDS via HDMI.
