High-End quality desktop headphones amplifier
The Topping A90 is a real big gun in the headphone amplifier market. An exceptionally powerful headphone amplifier and preamplifier in one, with a symmetrical design, incredibly low distortion (0.000086%) and extremely high output power (2 x 8 Watts), the A90 transcends the boundaries of audio equipment.
The Topping A90 also has symmetrical 3-pin XLR and conventional RCA connectors in the rear output and input section. In preamplifier mode, it offers an output impedance of 20 ohms, which makes it universal to fit the A90 into all kinds of audio systems.
The headphone jacks are located on the front panel, where we have all the possible connection modes: a symmetrical output on a 4-pin XLR connector, a second balanced output on the TRRS 4.4mm Jack, and a conventional asymmetrical output on a 6.35mm TRS Jack connector.
With the rotary knob on the front of the A90, we can adjust the volume, and we can also control all functions and mode settings with the three rocker switches placed here. With the first switch, we can select the mode of the amplifier from the preamplifier and the earphone amplifier options, and this switch is also used to turn off the device. With the second two-position switch, we can choose between the symmetrical XLR and the traditional RCA input which signal of the connected device we want to send to the amplifier. You can connect two separate devices to the A90 amplifier at the same time, between which you can freely switch using the input selection switch. With the third switch, we can choose the degree of gain from three options (LMH, low / medium / high gain), so we can coordinate the parameters of the source devices and the headphones we are currently using so that the A90 gives the best performance.
